Misechko & Partners defended the interests of a European client in the District Court of Luxembourg in the amount of 8.5 million euros

Misechko & Partners successfully represented the interests of a UK-registered company in litigation with the Luxembourg Financial Intelligence Unit over the cancellation of a freezing order in respect of client funds in the amount of 8.5 million euros.

The Financial Intelligence Unit made a decision to freeze the client's funds on the basis of documents received from the auditors of ABLV Bank Luxembourg during the compliance check during the liquidation of the Bank. Misechko & Partners appealed to the fifth chamber of the Luxembourg District Court with an application to overturn such a decision of the Financial Intelligence Unit. After providing all the necessary documents and explanations in the course of the court proceedings, the Financial Intelligence Unit released the decision to freeze the funds even before the decision on the merits was made. This became the final point in the long procedure of confirming the origin of the client's funds, which are deposited in the accounts of ABLV Bank Luxembourg.

The case was accompanied by the lawyers of Misechko & Partners with the direct participation of Volodymyr Misechko. The key to the success of this case was the rich previous experience of the firm's team in such disputes and cases.
